Our sessions are made for building together – you'll get the most out of them if you're already working on your own project. Just getting started? Winecoding is the perfect way to get a first taste.

    You build apps, tools or automations on your own – and you're done sitting alone at your desk.

Why
Builders Kollektiv exists

For years, as Head of Product, I planned what others would build. Since the start of this year I've gone all in on AI building – and I'm still amazed at how much you can build yourself today. On my own, I now build what used to take a whole team – in days instead of months.

But alone at the laptop, something's missing: someone who asks "How far along are you?", who has a tip when you're stuck, and who celebrates with you when something goes live.

Düsseldorf now has a few AI meetups – but hardly any that are really about building. What's missing is a place to build together regularly, meet interesting people and make progress together. That's exactly what Builders Kollektiv is for.

And this is just the beginning: in the long run, I can picture a permanent home for AI builders in Düsseldorf – our own Builders Haus. A place where startup founders, and everyone who wants to become one, build their future together.

What does it cost?

It's free to join. You only pay for what you order at the café or bar.

Do I need to sign up?

No, you can just drop by. But feel free to post a quick note in the WhatsApp group that you're coming, so we know.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Many people build with AI tools like Lovable, Claude Code or Codex without being classic programmers. What matters is that you're already working with them.

What should I bring?

Your laptop, a charger and the project you want to work on. For Winecoding, good vibes are all you need.

Do I have to come every time?

No. Come whenever it works for you – even just for a couple of hours.

Where exactly do you meet?

At changing locations in Düsseldorf, for example cafés or coworking spaces. We announce the location in advance in the WhatsApp group.

What language do you speak?

German and English, depending on who's there. If someone doesn't speak German, we simply switch to English.

What if I don't have a project yet?

Then Winecoding is the best place to start. You'll get to know the community there – and maybe walk away with ideas for your first project.

How many people are part of it?

Honestly: we're just getting started and still a small group. Right now is the best time to join and help shape the community from day one.
